The Ryan Hodges Fund supports South Australian researchers who want to change how cancer treatments are given. They want to make sure each patient gets the right amount of medicine that works best for them. This new way of treating cancer is called precision dosing.
The precision dosing program will ensure more people with cancer will receive the right dose for their genetic and physical profile, so that they derive maximum benefit with minimal adverse effects from cancer drug therapies.
Ryan gained valuable time to create precious memories with his family thanks to this program. Ryan strongly believed this program should be available to more people with cancer. And now it can.
Thanks to fundraising led by the Ryan Hodges Fund, we’re proud to announce a $150,000 commitment towards expanding the Precision Dosing Program for cancer patients and make it available to more people like Ryan.
We’re delighted to welcome Dr Ramin Hassankhani and Mr Eugene Tan, the inaugural Fellows of the Ryan Hodges Fellowship.
Together, they will pave the way for more effective and less toxic cancer drugs to be added to the program, ultimately enhancing patients’ quality of life and extending survival rates.
Thanks to Ramin and Eugene’s expertise and passion, the Precision Dosing Program is set to expand to include 20 or more drugs. This achievement not only honours Ryan’s legacy but also gives hope to countless others living with cancer.
Working together to prevent, cure and care.

Flinders Foundation is a charity based at Flinders Medical Centre. It has established the Ryan Hodges Fund to honour Ryan’s legacy and generate vital support for precision dosing research.
It was this research which enabled Ryan to survive for seven years and make precious memories with Helen and Ollie.
